Collecting gear for making music...

I'm probably in denial. I don't think I have Gear Acquisition Syndrome - I just like having the right gear to make music, and this requires a lot of analysis and comparison. So I have one or two lists and spreadsheets that keep track of stuff that I'm interested in, and I use them to gather specifications and other relevant information. I only purchase something when I'm pretty aware of how it works and how it will work for me with my other gear. Yep, I'm one of those people who gets the manual before buying... The lists and spreadsheets that are the output of my 'information gathering' are probably useful to other people who are also interested in 'gear that helps you make music', and so this blog is a place where I'm going to put links to the various places where the information is stored. I have been playing with Google Docs, Atlasssian's Confluence, GitHub, and Airtable, and so this is a live beta test with several contenders, and no gu
